This Blog is just a little different
It tells the end of the story, when many blogs start at the very beginning.
My story here - starts July 2006 at 162lbs and tracks my last 22lbs to an original goal of 140lbs*** - I am 5' 6".
So, this blog is not the WHOLE story - it is actually the END of the loss part of the story and the beginning of maintenance.
And no, there is no original/previous blog - what is HERE is IT.
But you are welcome to go back to the beginning of this blog and read. I have left a few little notes for you - along the way.
***NOTE: my original goal was an arbitrary sort of an number. I picked it by taking the last weight where I had felt very thin (130 lbs after college) and adding 10 pounds to it = 140 lb goal. What I didn't take into account was tone and my tendency to be a little crazy. My 130 lb skinny body after college had no tone and very little muscle. My current 150 lb body has lots of tone and lots of muscle. I am actually SMALLER at 150 lbs than I was at 130 lbs. Things have dropped quite a bit in the 25 years since college. I seem to have all kinds of add body distortion things happen if I am below 148 lbs. So, I decided to ditch the 140 lb goal and be very glad to stay where I am - relatively sane and toned.
ADDED 10/16/09:
It turned out that my body distortion problems and my problems with the scale reinforcing the 'empty' feeling was due to meds. I changed meds and then maintained at 150-155 lbs for a couple years. Summer of 2009, I decided to drop the last of my original weight. And proceeded to work on the last 20 lbs. There are links to that whole process on my side bar.
ar·bi·trar·y (ärb-trr) adj.
1. Determined by chance, whim, or impulse, and not by necessity, reason, or principle: stopped at the first motel we passed, an arbitrary choice.
2. Based on or subject to individual judgment or preference: The diet imposes overall calorie limits, but daily menus are arbitrary.
3. Established by a court or judge rather than by a specific law or statute: an arbitrary penalty.
4. Not limited by law; despotic: the arbitrary rule of a dictator.
