Do I normally read magical realism? No, I do not.
One of my book groups read this book (earlier this fall) and liked it. That was before I started attending. They were still talking about it a month later. I had time to read it this past week, between other book club assignments.
It was unusual/creative, well written, and I did like it. No spoilers.
